Dumpling Yuan was founded in 2002 by a couple from Shandong Province, and was formerly known as “Northern Dumpling Yuan”. It started at Wan Chai, and served signature northern dumplings as well as a small selection of snacks.
Having operated for nearly 20 years, Dumpling Yuan is now serving a fusion of local and Northern Chinese delicacies. The refined recipe brings traditional and modern taste to the next level and has become a unique and popular choice in the neighbourhood.
The previous owners were planning for their retirement, and with the help of AGPS, they found a successor. The new owner was grateful for the opportunity as they lacked experience in the catering industry. They managed to reform the restaurant, not just by changing the name to “Dumpling Yuan”, but also by integrating the latest technology into the business. The shop has become even more vibrant and popular, and is on track for expansion.
